From the moment that you enter Wyatt Manor you realize this is a very good nursing home. The absence of unpleasant odor is detected quickly. A safe, clean and attractive facility is evident. The happy attitude of residents and staff indicate we truly care for the people in our trust. You realize quickly we are doing a lot of good things expected of a caring staff and deserved by residents. We are serious about the quality of care we provide and it shows in the actions, the compassion, the care and concern of all employees.

Many of our residents have a history of behavior problems. We have specialized in the care and treatment of these special people. We pride ourselves not only for the excellent track record we have achieved in this specialized area, but also the reputation we have in giving top medical and personal care to our residents. We offer weekly psychiatric treatment program in the facility to meet their needs. It has been estimated that 60% of all people in nursing homes need the type of treatment we are doing in our home.

The relatively small number of beds (62) is truly a plus for our residents. Our staff knows each resident personally and know their habits, likes and dislikes, their tendencies and their physical and emotional condition and are quick to pick up mood swings or an oncoming sickness.

Our workers are very close to residents because we have more time to spend with them than the staffs in larger facilities. Many of our residents do not have family and our staff help fill this void in their lives. There is an unbelievably close bond between residents and staff. This is further evidenced by the fact that 26 of our 45 employees have been here an average of 10 years each.
